Sleep Out

With our annual Sleep Out Event we look at raising awareness on homelessness among LGBTQ youths in Kenya and shed some light on their experience and our social responsibility to uplift each other.

The Sleep Out Event involves participants registering to sleep outside for maximum 72 hours, only eating and using the available limited resources, to raise funds for Kenneth and Jacob’s House, KE and other communities of care for houseless LGBTQ individuals in the capital .

Funds raised from this event supports Kenneth and Jacob’s House through PEMA Kenya’s Partnership in providing safety and security to LGBTQ youths aged 18-24 years experiencing homelessness on a national level through programs like; family reconciliations, legal support, transitional housing, rehousing relief, work training, healthcare support for a specified period as they transition.

We invite the community (individuals, Allies, orgs and businesses) to come help out by donating to the cause or establishing new partnership as queer homelessness is a community problem.
